The last job anybody would ever want is to be a crew member in star trek with a red shirt on. Their life expectancy wasn’t very long. This excellent Star Trek Red Shirt Parody shows just how life carried on for these poor crew members of the Enterprise. Kirk and Spock respond to an alien threat, four red shirts accompany and fight to survive the myth. Will they survive?

Characters from Star Trek wearing a Red Shirt were security personnel. They often accompanied the main characters on away missions and usually met their death doing so. It has been suggested that out of all of the deaths that occurred on the original Star Trek series the Red Shirts accounted for over 70% of these.

A month ago my other half and I were at a Yankees game. We had decent seats down the third base line. I go to a few ball games a year and I have never sat with a worse crowd and bunch of stiffs in my entire life. I knew it was going to be bad when a hipster sat in front of me with his Buddy Holly glasses, Prada skull cap and a black jacket covered in cat hair. What kind of dude wears a Prada cap? A boring hipster that’s who. Who pays $100 for a seat to a ball game and doesn’t clap, stand up, yell at the players or drink a beer? Hipsters. They are everywhere. It’s a conspiracy. It’s a really boring movement. I thought I would collect a few hipsters funny pictures and photos.

Registry Cleaning Programs

It happens eventually. Your computer gets clogged up with garbage files and leftover file fragments and you have to do some cleaning. There are tons of free software programs available online such as reg cleaner, defragmenter programs and general maintenance programs. I have a few installed on my computer to make things run smoother. I always make sure I backup my system before using kind of registry cleaning software. Creating a proper restore point is a good idea. The last thing you want to do is ruin your computer or laptop by simply trying to fix it. This happened to me a few months ago but luckily I had a backup to restore and all was good.

Elderly Driver Gets Lost on Golf Course

It happens to us all at one point or another. We get lost driving. Not quite like this woman though. Watch the video as this elderly driver gets lost and drives her car down the 11th fairway at the U.S. Open qualifier at The Club at Emerald Hills Florida. She must have realized that she was in the wrong spot and turned around in a sand trap or waste bunker and took off again down the cart path. Play carried on afterwards.

A terrific Breaking Bad Lego video game parody. Lego video games are popular and after playing a few I don’t mind them myself. If they made a lego video game based on the AMC tv show Breaking Bad I would buy it. A lot of work has put into this game so give the guy a thumbs up at youtube. I love all of the playable characters. I would have to play as Saul Goodman though. The man is epic. Here is hoping that the rumour of a Saul spinoff show comes true. How amazing would that be?

Rock Star You Aren’t

A buddy of mine decided that he is going to be a rock star. Not a bad goal I suppose. If you have any kind of musical talent. Of which he has none. That didn’t stop him from going out and buying a guitar and a small peavey pa system for his performances.  I went to school with tons of talented musicians and have friends in bands that are playing the local bar scene. My friend will never be either of those but he is determined. I just hope he doesn’t quite his day job. Here’s too all of the funny rock star wannabes out there. You entertain us in ways you will never know.

How to Build Thors Hammer

If you have ever thought about building your own electrified Thors Hammer you now have some instructions. Instructions for an 80,000 volt replica of Mjölnir.  It sounds like a beast. A  small tesla coil is the main feature of this homemade replica. You can follow along yourself and try to make yourself a copy but after watch the videos it doesn’t sound like something for me to try. Especially after reading this quote from the video page.

It will light up any flourescent bulbs around, scare children, and leave the smell of ozone behind. It is super fun!

Funny Bean Bag Chairs

Today was garbage day in our neighbourhood which means people take everything to the curb, even if they items are too large for the trashman to take. As I walked my dogs at the end of the day I walked by a place that had a number of  bean bag chairs curbside. I hadn’t seen bean bags in quite some time. We used to have a few of them kicking around the house when the kids were smaller but that was years ago. It made me wonder just where these things have gone in the past few years. So I searched for funny bean bag chairs and wasn’t disappointed. After looking at these pictures it gave me the urge to go out and find a few chairs for my house. These are awesome.

Cloud Storage Can Be Important

It’s funny in this day and age that a person wouldn’t have enough sense to use cloud storage or back their computer up. This guy looks like he has learned a valuable lesson in backing up his data for protection. Cloud storage, usb sticks and and external hard drives are pretty cheap these days. Much more cheaper than what it is going to cost this guy to get his data back. A thousand dollars goes a long way these days to buy some type of personal storage device. He could have had an entire new decent laptop to back his stuff up onto. Lesson learned. A lesson for all of us.

I know that summer is going to get here soon  and later and that means sitting back in your shorts and sunglasses and enjoying a cool one poolside or on the golf course.
